Theatre & school

Schauspielhaus is often young people’s first exposure to the theater. Even during school hours. Our diverse THEATER & SCHOOL offerings create encounters between students, theater professionals, and artistic stage work, while enabling access to our productions through playful educational formats. We also support teachers in selecting a suitable performance for a class trip to the theater and help with preparation.

To warm up and follow up, we offer practical workshops in schools and at the theater or perform the "classroom play" #BYEBITCH right on site starting in October. Or your school can come to us: Become a "teacher in crime” by joining a club of theater-loving teachers, or take part in professional development. Students go on a guided tour behind the scenes, become a premiere or partner class, and learn all about the creation of a play and various theater professions.

THEATER & SCHOOL also cooperates with students with a migration background in weekly workshops as part of our Welcome to Theater program. With insieme Zurich, we offer the Make Together Werkstatt for people with and without disabilities.

Information on all educational offers for teachers and students, on performances suitable for school classes, and on the "classroom play" can be found in the Theater & Schule brochure, which comes out in June and December 2024. Teachers are welcome to attend the Let's Meet information event at Schauspielhaus at the beginning of the season. Be part of it!
